Adhoc Staff Enumerators and Supervisors Training Schedule as Commision postpones Census to May 2023
The National Population Commission has postponed the 2023 Population and Housing Census Exercise earlier scheduled to commence on 29th March, 2023 to May, 2023.
The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, broke the News on Wednesday when he briefed State House correspondents at the end of Federal Executive Council (FEC) Meeting presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja.
Mr Mohammed disclosed that the shifting of the 2023 Census date was necessitated by the postponement of the Guber and House of Assembly Election from 11th March to 18th March, 2023.
He also disclosed that the FEC approved N2.8 billion for the National Population Commission (NPC) to procure some software to be used for the conduct of the 2023 Census Exercise.
In view of the above, the NPC has adopted a New Training Time Table for Enumerators and Supervisors Adhoc Staff Training while rescheduling the 2023 Census Activities.
According to the NPC, New Time Table of 2023 Census Activities are scheduled as follows:
(a) Refereshers (Virtual Training) for State Level Facilitators and Specialised WorkForce – 27th March, 2023 to 29th March, 2023.
(b) LGA Level Training on Building Numbering and Household Listing (First Phase Enumerators and Supervisors Training) – 31st March, 2023 to 6th April, 2023.
(c) LGA Level Training on Persons Enumeration (Second Phase Enumerators and Supervisors Training) – 25th April, 2023 to 29th April, 2023.
(d) Census Night – 2nd May, 2023.
(e) Enumeration of Persons (Main Census) – 3rd May, 2023 to 7th May, 2023.

Ministan yada labarai da al’adu, Lai Mohammed ne ya bayyana hakan a ranar Larabar da ta gabata a lokacin da yake ganawa da manema labarai a fadar shugaban kasa a karshen taron majalisar zartarwa ta tarayya da shugaban kasa Muhammadu Buhari ya jagoranta a Abuja.
Mista Lai Mohammed ya bayyana cewa sauya ranar kidayar 2023 ya zama dole ne sakamakon dage zaben gwamna da na majalisar wakilai daga ranar 11 ga Maris zuwa 18 ga Maris, 2023.
Ya kuma bayyana cewa, hukumar ta FEC ta amince da Naira biliyan 2.8 ga hukumar kidaya ta kasa (NPC) don sayo wasu manhajoji da za a yi amfani da su wajen gudanar da kidayar jama’a a shekarar 2023.
Bisa la’akari da abubuwan da ke sama, NPC ta ɗauki sabon Teburin Horarwa don Ƙididdigewa da Masu Kulawa Adhoc Ma’aikatan Adhoc yayin da aka sake tsara ayyukan ƙidayar 2023.
A cewar NPC, an tsara sabon jadawalin ayyukan ƙidayar 2023 kamar haka:
(a) Masu Neman Koyarwa (Tsarin Koyarwa) don Masu Gudanar da Matsayin Jiha da Ƙarfin Ma’aikata na Musamman – 27 ga Maris, 2023 zuwa 29 ga Maris, 2023.
(b) Horon matakin LGA akan Gina Lambobi da Lissafin Iyali (Masu ƙididdige Mataki na Farko da Horarwar Masu Kulawa) – 31 ga Maris, 2023 zuwa 6 ga Afrilu, 2023.
(c) Horon matakin LGA akan kidayar mutane (Masu kididdigar mataki na biyu da horar da masu sa ido) – 25 ga Afrilu, 2023 zuwa 29 ga Afrilu, 2023.
(d) Daren ƙidaya – 2 ga Mayu, 2023.
(e) Ƙididdiga na Mutane (Babban Ƙididdiga) – 3 ga Mayu, 2023 zuwa 7 ga Mayu, 2023.
